Quilt Appraisals and Restoration at Quiltfest 2008

August 8, 9 & 10, 2008. Bring your quilt when you come to Quiltfest 2008.

Quilt Appraisals
Certified American Quilters Society appraisers Sally Ambrose, Ann Bodle Nash, Beverly Dunivent, Dawn Hunt, and Eileen Trestain will be available on-site to examine your old and new quilted textiles.
Appraisals will be conducted from 10am to 4pm on August 8, 9 & 10, 2008. Limit three items per customer.
The charge is $45 per quilt for an in-depth written appraisal, including dollar value, quilt care and storage recommendations or $20 for a verbal evaluation to include estimated age, quilt care and storage information (no dollar value will be given).

Quilt Conservators
Quilt conservators Anne Dawson and Marilyn Bacon will be available on-site to discuss restoration and conservation possibilities for quilts in need of tender loving care. Anne has been a quiltmaker since 1972 and she has been restoring quilts professionally for the past 18 years. Marilyn is a fourth generation quilter and started her textile conservation business in 1981.
Oral evaluations will be conducted from 10am to 4pm each day. Limit three per customer. Walk-ins welcome; appointments take precedence.
The charge is $15 per quilt for an in-depth oral evaluation. Appointments and payments will be made directly with Anne and Marilyn.
