Artist Statement
I have chosen this simple garment shape to showcase my process of using a
series of layers of discharging and over dyeing to create a wearable garment
that addresses the important role leaves play in photosynthesis – a
complex process that the earth depends upon.
Techniques & Materials
Rayon fabric with multiple layers of discharging colour out of the surface
and then adding colour back in after each layer of discharge.
